Crash Bandicoot: Warped

Price: £30.50

Crash Bandicoot: Warped, also known as Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped in Europe, is a 1998 platform game developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation. It is the third installment in the Crash Bandicoot series, following Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back.

The game’s storyline picks up right after the events of the previous game. When the remains of Doctor Neo Cortex’s space station crash on Earth, they release an evil entity named Uka Uka, who is the evil twin of Aku Aku. Uka Uka teams up with Cortex and the time-obsessed Doctor N. Tropy to gather powerful crystals scattered across time, intending to use them to conquer Earth. Players control Crash and his sister, Coco Bandicoot, as they journey through various time periods to stop the villains from collecting the crystals and ultimately save the planet.

Crash Bandicoot: Warped received widespread praise from critics for its high-quality gameplay, graphics, and audio. It has been regarded as one of the greatest video games ever made. The game went on to sell nearly 6 million copies, making it one of the top-selling PlayStation games. In Japan, it outperformed its two predecessors and became the first non-Japanese PlayStation game to sell over a million copies in the country. A remastered version of the game was included in the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy for PlayStation 4 in 2017, and it was later ported to other platforms. A sequel, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, was released in 2020.
